Quorn Baptist Church has a new minister!

Quorn Baptist Church has called Revd. John Davies to be its next minister.

Revd. John Davies and his wife, Marion, originally come from Nottingham where John was the minister at two different Baptist churches before moving to Hornchurch Baptist Church in the London Borough of Havering. He has served there for the last nine and a half years and developed close links with the local churches especially the Anglican Rector in developing halls for service into the community.

They have two sons who are both married with children; the elder lives in Swindon and the younger in Horsforth near Leeds. John’s hobbies are gardening and keeping up-to-date with new worship songs. Together, they love the countryside and especially enjoy holidays in Greece and Italy.

John spent nearly twenty years in office work and selling before becoming a Baptist Minister. This he believes to be a helpful backdrop to his ministry.

They both look forward to the new challenges of village ministry and the making of new friends throughout the community.

John and Marion plan to move to Quorn during the first week of October. John’s induction service will be held at Quorn Baptist Church on Saturday 7th October at 3pm.
