Gideon Update

We have nearly completed the distribution of over 3000 New Testaments to the latest intake of pupils at the local High Schools and once again we pray that God will honour His word and use it to reach young lives. When we distribute Bibles and New Testaments we rarely get to know what happens to them or what effect they may have, so it was very heartening when, last autumn, we did receive a letter telling us of one of our scriptures. A young man in North Leicestershire had received his school New Testament in about 1980 but it was some years later when he started to read it. This led him to put his faith in God and eventually to join a local church. Only recently has he written to thank us for what had happened to him, and as he said, ‘God has done a miracle’. Praise the Lord!

On a wider front the Gideons have received a similar letter from a prisoner who has been converted in prison and is reading his Gideon bible daily. And also for your prayers, please pray for the 1440 bibles recently placed on the new “Queen Mary 2”; that God will use them to His glory.
