Ladies Day - March 9th

How time flies when you are having fun!

We welcomed the return of Rev Anne Davis who led the day on the theme “Moving On”. A time of learning, fun and fellowship was enjoyed by all of us as we sought to discover ways of “letting go” and “moving on” in different areas of our lives. We shared from scripture the difficulties that were faced by people then and the hard choices they had to make. The challenges are much the same for us today—there is often a cost and many obstacles to overcome but our faith and trust in God can make such a difference. We discovered new talents in the afternoon as we turned our hands to sugarcraft, decoupage, glass painting and card making. It’s amazing what gifts we have when only we have a go!

What did I leave with—the challenge to move on with God and the hope that all of us as His chosen people can “let go” and “move on” too.

Thank you to all who made this day possible, especially the men who provided tea/coffee and a delicious cooked lunch—and did all the washing up! Thank you.
