Gideon Update

We have now completed our distribution to the local schools for this year. Once again we gave out about 3800 red New Testaments to the new students in 24 schools. Many of the students are very thrilled with their testaments, and some have written to us to let us know how much they appreciate them. Please pray with us that God will use those scriptures to lead many of them into a true knowledge of Jesus.

This year marks fifty years of the Gideon work in Leicestershire, during which time thousands of Bibles have been placed in hotels and hospitals in the county and thousands of New Testaments presented to three generations of school children. We recently celebrated this anniversary of the Gideon work in our county and were reminded of how much we rely on God to bless our efforts and to bring fruit from the seed that we sow. Many people have commented to me on how their Gideon New Testament has played a part in bringing them to trust in Jesus Christ and for that we just have to praise God.
