Kathleen Thomas at 90 Kathleen

Kathleen was born and bred in Sheffield and only moved to Quorn when the bungalows were built on Sutton Close so that she and her late husband, Wyndham, could be near to their daughter.

It was some time during her teenage years that Kathleen first started attending church at a time when she had felt a real need to seek forgiveness and strength from God. The church she attended was Christchurch, Fulwood (a church known to several at QBC) and this is where she was confirmed. Following her marriage, she moved to another part of Sheffield and lost touch with the church until her daughter started attending a Methodist church and Kathleen decided to go along too. As well as the Sunday service she also enjoyed the Ladies meeting.

On coming to Quorn Kathleen and her husband decided to try QBC and they quickly settled in. They found the church very welcoming and Howard’s sermons very helpful. The Ladies Fellowship has also been a great blessing. Kathleen finds the inside of the church has a comfortable feel and despite being new Kathleen feels that it is like home.
