Ladies' Retreat Day
For our Ladies Retreat Day in February this year we were very pleased to welcome Mrs Marion Knell from Woodhouse Eaves as our guest speaker. In anticipation of another excellent day, family members and friends were invited along to share with us.
Our theme for the day was “Pilgrimage”. The significance of this for us as individuals and as a fellowship was explored. We then had the opportunity to reflect on defining times in our lives and how and in what ways God had influenced our decisions and circumstances and how he had led and guided thus far. Later we told of some experiences of our life-line. We were able to share different aspects of our walk with and work for God.
John Stow and a team of men from the fellowship provided and served an excellent roast lunch, much appreciated by all. The desserts prepared by many of the ladies were also a delight.
We all enjoyed the time for fellowship together, the opportunity to learn in a relaxed and informal atmosphere and the value of taking time out to reflect and take stock in preparation for moving on as and when God leads us.
Our appreciation and thanks go to Jan Page, Marion Knell and the men, all of whom worked so hard to make this day a resounding success.
