Where's your Backup?

It’s frustrating when you have no backup plan and things go differently from what you expected.

It’s costly when you lose years of work because you never got around to putting a copy of your files in a fire-safe. But It’s miserable having no-one to support you when things go wrong.

If you wait till you’re in trouble before arranging a backup, then it’s too late. Before God created the world He arranged a backup in case the people He made turned bad and rebelled against Him, and we did! When we please ourselves instead of God, we do wrong, and justice has to be satisfied. That means we get punished and God’s plan of us enjoying Him and Him enjoying us gets ruined. But God’s backup plan swung into action, and Jesus was punished instead of us. So justice is satisfied, and we can be forgiven.

We are all in trouble and Jesus is our only backup. A Christian is just someone who has turned to Jesus for help to put things right.
