Spring Harvest at Skeggy
I jumped at the chance to go with Carol Murphy and Carol Brown to Spring Harvest. It was helpful going with people who had been before. Arriving at Butlins we soon had the keys to our self-catering, clean, warm, cosy and well equipped chalet. I shared a room with my sister - it was like old times again!
My day started at 10am with morning celebration. Jeff Lucas was an excellent and humorous speaker who I could listen to for ages. Afterwards I browsed the enormous Christian Resources Centre, before returning to the chalet for lunch. There were a variety of seminars to go to in the afternoons, or a stroll on the sea front. The evening celebration started at 6.45, with worship led by Graham Kendrick that brought me so close to God, I felt I was worshipping Him with my whole being.
There were different speakers each night, including Steve Chalke, Gerald Coates, Selwyn Hughes and Ruth Yeghazar (remember Ruth from Exalt?). We skipped most evening seminars (9.30pm) but made some of the 10.30pm After Hours concerts, which featured the Saltmine Theatre, Graham Kendrick, and The Tribe.
I really enjoyed Spring Harvest, it was uplifting and brought me closer to God.
