The Ladies’ Fellowship
Our Tuesday afternoon meetings continue to be well attended as we enjoy a variety of speakers. Our members look forward to Howard’s monthly visit when he also ministers in song. We continue with our New Testament readings and having completed John’s gospel we have started to read Acts.
We were pleased to welcome Jenny Davey (a retired teacher and now Methodist lay preacher) to our Ladies’ Day services. She took as her theme “Discipleship”.
Our first outing of the year was to Harry Wheatcroft’s Nursery at Nottingham. The son shone for us and we all enjoyed the daffodils blooming by the roadside as we passed through the villages on our way.
We are missing Margaret Jessop being with us at our meetings and we pray that it is not too long before she is able to join us again.
