Parentalk

The Parentalk course run this term has gone really well. Seven mums have attended and they have all appreciated it and found it worthwhile. The material produced by Care for the family is excellent, although we all admitted that the video and magazine are starting to look out of date! We were able to get to know each other better, share common experiences and tips, and have a good laugh and time for ourselves too. Heather and I really enjoyed leading it and found that we got a lot out of the course too (it’s never too late to learn new things).

Thank you to all of you for supporting us and praying for us - we have seen God answer those prayers in amazing ways. We would like to say a very big thank you too to those who have helped in the crèche, without whom Parentalk wouldn’t have been possible. It was wonderful to see the children begin to settle down and enjoy themselves, and know they were safe and well cared for. Chris, Carol, Gillian, Naomi, Pat, Elaine and Jan you were brilliant. It’s great to be part of God’s team.

We are now considering what the next step should be so please pray that God will show us what He wants us to do. We would like to run Parentalk again and are also wondering about running a course for those with teenage or approaching teenage children, possible in the evening.
