The Scarf!
The ‘Rainbows Knit a marathon Scarf’ is a way in which money is being raised to help very sick children. To take part in this, the Quorndon suggested we in Quorn, knit a scarf to wrap twice around the Parish Church.
Four members of the Ladies’ Fellowship joined up and knitted scarves, which many of us sponsered. On Saturday 13th July all its pieces having being joined together, ‘the scarf’ was wrapped round the Parish Church five times! It was 700yards long! To date over £3000 of scarf sponser money has been sent to Rainbows.
Our ladies won a prize for being the group that raised the most money. Janet Eade-Weller and Sue moore were present to receive this from our MP, Andy Reed. Well done to Janet, Sue, Dorothy (Crichton) and Margaret (Jessop), and thank you all who sponsered their efforts.
