The Ladies' Fellowship
Meetings have been well attended and we had a wide variety of speakers. We were very pleased to welcome Barbara Stow and Gillian Clement. Gillian told us about her visit to Bulgaria.
Our speaker on Ladies’ Sunday was Lesley Storey who is Minister to Blaby Baptist Church. Both services were well attended and she brought us a challenging message. This year there was no ladies choir, instead Alison Ketton sang for us in the morning service and Hannah Shipway played piano. In the evening Alison sang a duet with Kat Gibb with Kat playing piano.
Our outing this year was to Rockingham Castle. The weather was perfect and our day out included the usual refreshment breaks, a drive through beautiful countryside and round the Eyebrook reservoir and a leisurely afternoon at the castle.
Howard was our speaker at the last formal meeting before the summer break. We shall continue to meet informally and enjoy various short outings before starting our winter program on September 7th. Please think about joining us. You would be most welcome.
