Gideon Update

Once again we are in the term when we give out New Testaments to the pupils starting at Secondary school and we expect to distribute just under 3000 scriptures again this year. Every year we receive letters and emails from pupils who benefit from this distribution, many reading scripture for the first time. God's Word says that some sow and others reap, and we see the truth of this from these letters. One young woman received hers 25 years ago and is now a pastor of a church in Poland. Not a typical story but typical of God's power to change peoples' lives. Another pupil explained how she was saved from suicide because a friend of hers told her to read the New Testament that she had got at school. Is there a better investment of £1 than when it changes someone's life and brings them into real Life with Christ?

Please continue to pray for all those who will receive the 'little red book' this autumn, particularly for those starting at our own local school, Humphrey Perkins, this term.
