Ladies Fellowship

During the past two months the Ladies have been taking the opportunity to get out and about. July began with a trip to Rutland. After coffee at the Marquis of Exeter in Lyddington we toured Bede house and the church. Oakham was the venue for our mid-day meal, which was followed by an expedition into the town, resulting in a short spell in the stocks (see photo). On the way home we called into the garden centre at Cold Overton where we enjoyed the tea and cakes that were on offer. Thanks are due to John and Keith for going with us and helping with the transport.

In August we visited several gardens and we thank Margaret and Alison for letting us visit and for providing a good cuppa. We all managed to eat more than intended when we had our 'cream tea' in the garden at the Manse. Thank you for cutting the lawn beforehand Howard! Our final visit was to Kays Garden and Nursery at Rearsby. What beautiful large herbaceous borders were there - and delicious cakes!

Now we are back indoors each Tuesday afternoon, and instead of enjoying God's creation we shall once again be looking into His word at what He has to say to us.
