The Ladies' Fellowship

We have been encouraged by an increase in our membership during the summer.

Our meetings included an open meeting, when we shared thoughts, prayers and favourite hymns. We had visits from Howard, Jill Abell and a variety of other speakers.

Our annual outing was to Southwell where there was time to visit the Minster and explore the town before continuing on to Taylors Garden Centre and Swan Sanctuary.

The sanctuary began in 1960 with one lake and has expanded to 6 lakes set in 9 acres of landscaped gardens. Our outing finished with a country run to the small village of Bleasby for afternoon tea, before returning home. Our thanks to the kind people who did the driving.

During the holiday period we were able to take full advantage of the beautiful summer weather, when various people opened up their homes and gardens to us, so that we could meet together socially. We appreciate their kindness and generosity.

Our normal meetings start again in September, when we shall continue with our readings in Acts, and we now go forward prayerfully into the winter session.
