HANDS
Hands that clap.
Hands that slap.
Hands that done
the devil’s work
now do the Lord’s work.

IMAGES OF GOD
Face of joy in our eyes
when radiance shows in praise uplifted.
Face of love to our face
when pain had scarred our pristine joy.
Face of anger shown to those
whose unjust lives have shamed the poor.
Face of pardon for our guilt
when off we slink like cats with a kill.
Oh God, when we are driftwood,
You haul us back in joy and loving pardon.

TEACH ME TO LISTEN
Lord,
teach me to listen
to the voice of authority in your Word;
to the voice of witness by Your servants;
to the voice of wisdom from Your saints
to the voice of love from those who serve You
to the voice of guidance from Your Spirit.
Amen
