QBC Tours 2004
The Senior Citizen’s Holiday, September 13th – 18th this year, was spent at Bridlington, arranged for us by Howard and Gillian.
Our holiday started with an interesting journey of splendid views, especially as we crossed the Humber Bridge.
We had a very comfortable hotel with excellent food which made an ideal base for our many outings. Every day we had good weather which was just right for viewing the Yorkshire countryside and lovely villages such as Thornton-le-dale and Hutton-le-hole. One day we had an interesting outing to Burton Agnes Hall, Driffield. Another day we visited Sewerby Hall, near Bridlington, which was beautifully decorated by The Bridlington Flower Group. From there we went to Flamborough Head for tea with good views of the sea and lighthouse.
We had two theatre musical evenings which were most enjoyable and a visit taking in Filey and Scarborough finished our week. On our return journey, we diverted through York to see the Minster before continuing on our way home.
Howard, our courier, and Gillian, the driver covering many, many miles, made our holiday very special with their kindness and thoughtfulness. We would like to express our thanks to them, also to all who prayed for us, your prayers were certainly answered.
